Jenny is an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor, providing both brief and longer-term, depth-oriented therapy. Her 12 years of experience and training in multiple schools of therapy allow her to quickly find a way of working together to address an extremely wide range of life challenges.

Her focus is in reducing anxiety and depression, increasing self-confidence and self-esteem, and improving relationships. She also works extensively with stress, trauma and life transitions. Jenny’s core training is in Gestalt therapy and she holds a diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute. She’s fully accredited by BACP and abides by their code of ethics. She also has a diploma in CBT/REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy) from the College of Cognitive Behavioural Studies, and a life science degree from King’s College London.

Jenny integrates humanistic, somatic and relational approaches into her practice, and draws on the most suitable techniques and strategies for the person she’s working with and issues being tackling together.

”I take care to talk you through the process in clear, straightforward terms, so that you have a real sense of progress as we move forward in any area you feel your life needs attending to.”

Her approach is collaborative and based on creating a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore what’s troubling you, work through unresolved issues and gain new insights to make the changes you feel are right for you. This often means working through difficult life experiences, tackling unhelpful beliefs, or letting go of patterns that may be keeping you stuck, helping you move forward toward a place of growth and increased wellbeing and fulfilment.

Jenny now works exclusively in private practice. In the past she has also provided therapy in varied settings such as the Criminal Justice System, NHS, and Cabinet Office, and has managed a counselling agency providing specialised counselling services. Prior to becoming a therapist, she had a background in publishing and media. She is often described as insightful, genuine and effective.
