Facilitated by Delfina Krause & Alexa Edelist

Moving to a new country involves profound changes: new cultures, loss of networks, and a redefinition of identity. This group offers a safe, supportive and validating environment to get to know others who share a current experience of relocation. We will sit with and understand some practical ways of easing the feelings of anxiety, stress, and isolation which often accompany the process, as well as enabling reconnection to oneself, purpose and value.

Why this space?

Moving to a new country brings profound change. New cultures, unfamiliar systems, the loss of familiar networks and a shifting sense of identity can stir up complex emotions and difficult questions. This group offers a place to pause, reflect and feel supported as you navigate these transitions.

It is designed to provide:

  • A safe and confidential space where you can arrive as you are.
  • A supportive and validating environment in which you can share your experiences freely.
  • A chance to connect with others who genuinely understand the challenges of living far from home.
  • An opportunity to explore your emotions and make sense of them within your own story.
  • Practical ways to ease feelings of anxiety, sadness or isolation and to feel more grounded in your daily life.
  • A space to reconnect with your sense of purpose and value during a time when it is easy to lose sight of both.
