Raquel Patterson is a dedicated Dramatherapist and Therapeutic Education Practitioner whose work is rooted in the belief that every individual holds the capacity for growth, healing and meaningful change. Her practice is shaped by a deep respect for the stories people carry and a commitment to creating spaces where those stories can be explored safely and creatively. Raquel’s approach aligns closely with the heart of Harvest Therapy, where connection, curiosity and compassion guide the therapeutic journey.

Raquel brings a rich blend of therapeutic expertise and educational insight to her work. Throughout her career, she has supported children, young people and adults in navigating a wide range of emotional, relational and developmental challenges. She is passionate about integrating therapeutic thinking into learning environments, ensuring that education becomes not only a place of academic development but also a space where emotional wellbeing is nurtured. This passion has led her to design and deliver innovative programmes that empower learners and educators alike, fostering resilience, self awareness and personal growth.

Current Roles

Raquel currently works within an independent SEMH school as a Dramatherapist for children and young people and as the Lead of Therapeutic Education Practice. She supports students individually and in groups, beginning with relationship building and moving toward addressing specific needs identified by the young person, their caregivers or the school.

She also delivers a pioneering Level 3 Award in Therapeutic Education and Group Process. This programme explores child development, mental health, neurodiversity, reflective practice, relational and developmental trauma and therapeutic approaches to teaching and learning. The course is designed to support professionals across educational settings who wish to develop trauma aware and responsive practice.
