Ondine Smulders, Existential Psychotherapist, Supervisor, and Coach

“Psychotherapy and counselling are processes that offer the real possibility of change. Existential psychotherapy can help you live a more meaningful and satisfying life”

Location:
Sessions online

Fee: £150

Ondine has practised existential psychotherapy for over a decade because it rhymes so closely with her views on life and her own experiences in therapy.

She has extensive experience working with young adults in transition— moving from school to university, from university to work, moving jobs, arriving from another country, coping with relationship and family issues, or bereavement. These changes do not always proceed as smoothly as we wish and feelings of depression, anxiety, sadness, worthlessness, un-belonging and rootlessness are not uncommon.

As a psychotherapist, Ondine will help you to connect to yourself at a deeper level and rediscover bits of yourself that you may have lost along the way. It can also support you in finding meaning and new perspectives so that you may feel more at peace in your life.
“Life is in perpetual motion, always moving forward, always shifting, from sunrise to sunset and from birth to death. We cannot control it, let alone stop it. We are all changed as a result of this process, sometimes in very subtle ways. Not knowing what tomorrow will bring, realising that we have no control over anything except ourselves, and recognising that life is essentially without meaning, is the source of a lot of our suffering”.
“The first 25 years of my career were spent in the highly competitive worlds of finance and think tanks, an experience that ultimately left me unfulfilled but gave me a deep understanding of high-pressure workplaces. It lead me to transition into psychotherapy and coaching whre I now apply that insight in my work with clients. I continue to mamtain my business interests in my roles as non-executive director, psychosocial risk prevention officer and trustee.” Ondine
