Ratsamee (Nat) Huckfield, Counsellor and Psychotherapist
“Held in a calm and compassionate space, you can begin to make sense of your feelings, reconnect with yourself, and discover the strength that has always been yours.”
At my practice, I offer a confidential, supportive, and non‑judgmental space where you can explore whatever feels difficult right now. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in confidence, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, our work together will focus on understanding what’s holding you back and helping you develop healthier, more empowering ways of coping. My approach is warm, steady, and collaborative, supporting you to move toward greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
Who I Work With
I work with teens (14+), and adults and who are navigating:
- Anxiety, worry, and overthinking
- Depression or persistent low mood
- Burnout and overwhelm
- Low self-esteem and self-doubt
- Bereavement and loss
- Relationship difficulties
- Emotional regulation challenges
- Feeling “stuck,” lost, or disconnected
Many of the people I support come to therapy feeling exhausted, unsure where to begin, or overwhelmed by emotions that feel confusing or hard to manage. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear story, we can explore things gently, at your pace.
Her work focuses on helping you understand yourself more deeply, strengthen your resilience, and manage your emotions with greater steadiness. She offers gentle support with emotional regulation, helping you find calmer, more grounded ways to respond to what you feel rather than being swept away by it. Her aim is to help you build confidence, reconnect with yourself, and move through difficulties with clarity and independence.
Ratsamee is trained in integrative therapy, which allows her to draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor the work to suit your individual needs. Her practice is influenced by person‑centred therapy, which values who you are and honours the pace of your journey. She incorporates cognitive behavioural therapy to help you understand and manage anxiety, challenge unhelpful patterns, and develop practical coping skills you can use independently. She also draws inspiration from Jungian concepts, exploring both conscious and unconscious aspects of the self to understand the deeper patterns that shape how you feel and relate to others. This blend of approaches allows the work to be both reflective and practical, supporting meaningful insight alongside real, sustainable change.
At the heart of her work is a simple intention: to help you feel safe, understood, and capable of navigating life with greater confidence and independence. She brings warmth, steadiness, and genuine belief in your ability to move through challenges and emerge stronger. Therapy with Ratsamee is a collaborative journey toward a more grounded, fulfilling, and authentic life, taken one step at a time.
